Two companies from Abitibi-Témiscamingue, are finalists at the 2023 MercadOr Québec Export Gala

LVL Global and TrueRC Canada will represent Abitibi-Témiscamingue at the prestigious Gala MercadOr Québec 2023, the largest national Gala recognizing the success of exporting companies in Quebec.

On March 15, Commerce International Québec (CIQ), the network of regional export promotion organizations (ORPEX), announced the finalists who will try to win the prize in one of the seven award categories of the fourth edition of the MercadOr Québec Export Gala.

The crowning of the winners will take place during a Prestige Gala on May 24, 2023, at the Port of Montreal’s Grand Quay. In addition to the awards in the 7 categories, four special prizes will be awarded among the finalists: Jury’s Favourite, Jury’s Favourite – Sustainable Development, Jury’s Favourite – Diversity and Inclusiveness, and the Honourable Exporter of the Year Award. LVL Global and TrueRC Canada were recently distinguished by being finalists for the MercadOr Quebec Awards, the largest Gala in the export sector in Quebec, organized by Commerce International Québec.

This prestigious recognition, which aims to recognize excellence in exports, highlights the efforts and successes of local companies that export their services, products and expertise abroad.

LVL Global was named a finalist in the Sustained Export Growth category.

  • LVL Global is a private company formed in 2009 by local investors to acquire and restart the laminated veneer (LVL) component manufacturing plant located in Ville-Marie.
  • Since the restart of the plant in 2010, the company has been developing products for the construction market in Quebec, Ontario, and the United States.
  • The company’s mission is to market and develop international markets for processed engineered wood products by ensuring leadership and an image of strength in the diverse levels of its sector of activity through its determination of the superior quality of its service.

TrueRC Canada was named a finalist in the Export Leader category, Resource Regions category.

  • With the desire to democratize access to quality antennas and with its multiple patents, TrueRC wants to become the world leader in the development of unmanned antennae. The company operates in the industrial, military, security, cinematographic and remotely operated vehicle hobby sectors. TrueRC is growing, exporting all its products to thirty countries, and is represented worldwide thanks to its impressive network of distributors.

 

An entire month dedicated to Quebec exporting companies.

Export Month will begin on April 25 and run until May 24, 2023, with training and awareness webinars. For four weeks, participants will enjoy an exclusive smart networking platform. They will be able to indicate their export needs and ask questions directly on the platform to experts and other participants.

The user-friendly and personalized interface will allow users to make appointments with experts, contact other participants and review old training.
